Alejandra Alonso Rojas

Alejandra Alonso Rojas Pre-Fall 2022 collection is available now. With the long, blue-sky days of summer giving way to pink-hued sunsets in the fall, designer Alejandra Alonso Rojas was inspired by the colder nights spent between city and beach for her pre-fall collection. In turn, she transformed this into a focused, 18-look collection that included a soothing colour palette, wearable clothing, and handcrafted methods. Alejandra Alonso Rojas creations are beautiful not just because of their handcrafted nature and meticulous attention to detail, but also because of her attitude to sensuality, which was still prominent in pre-fall.

The following is a noteworthy quote: “I was thinking about the end of summer, which is one of my favourite times of the year….

Key pieces: A slew of elegant dresses in a variety of sky hues that can be worn from day to night, including hand-degraded and dip-dyed slips with a ruched drawstring at the slit; a stretch-silk gown with a top that looks like a ’90s bathing suit; a stunning hand-crocheted number with fringed hem that the designer said was meant to make the wearer feel “like a mer Other highlights include: refined sweaters (a continuation of core trends) and a boxy suede shirt to layer over bikinis or wear as a transitional piece into fall; crisp fitted palazzo trousers in satin cotton; and new bird-inspired eyelash silk fringed pieces and dresses.
