Urvashi Rautela created quite a stir when she referred to Kiara Advani’s Game Changer as a disaster in multiple interviews. While speaking with Lehren, Urvashi was asked how she felt about her film, Daaku Maharaaj, crossing Kiara Advani’s Game Changer in terms of collection. Urvashi acknowledged that she had read several tweets about the news and said:
“Shankar Sir is a very celebrated director. Mene unke sath pehle bhi kaam kiya hai Indian 2 mein. I think ye pura hi game change ho gaya because obviously uss film ka bhi bohot saara hype tha. But I think ki agar Kiara Advani ki Game Changer disaster hui hai and meri Daaku Maharaaj blockbuster hui hai, it’s not my mistake. To mujhe nahi samaj aa raha ye saare tweets kyu ho rahe hai.”
Urvashi was later slammed for her overconfidence and delusional take on matters. However, the actress seemed to believe the hate was coming from Kiara and not netizens. She took to her Instagram story with a cryptic note that can be read as:
“Jealousy from a super disaster? Paid PR can’t overshadow real talent and hard work.”
However, Urvashi wasn’t done with just one story. She followed up her first story with another cryptic note that didn’t mention any names, but was seemingly directed at Kiara Advani. Urvashi penned in her Instagram story:
“When failure breeds envy, even paid PR can’t eclipse genuine success.”

Urvashi’s comments didn’t go unnoticed. Her Instagram stories were soon posted to Reddit, where netizens had much to say. One user penned, “It will never be funny to me that all this talent and hard work talk is about Daaku Maharaaj LOL,” while another wrote, “is she drunk? lol. Why would Kiara be envious of her? She is just doing silly things to stay relevant.” Yet another netizen commented, “Girl Kiara isn’t after you. Your own statements are why you’re being called out and made fun of. Entitlement ki haad.”

While Daaku Maharaaj may have performed well at the box office, the film’s song, Dabidi Dibidi, was slammed for its controversial dance moves. Film director, K. S. Ravindra, and actor, Nandamuri Balakrishna were also called out for the same. However, Urvashi came to their defence, stating that it had been an honour to work with the veteran actor.
Urvashi added that dancing with Nandabala wasn’t merely a performance for her. Rather, she viewed it as a ‘celebration of art, hard work, and respect for the craft.’ Calling the opportunity to work with the famed actor ‘a dream come true,’ Urvashi further stated that every gesture in the dance number had been about ‘creating something beautiful together.’
