Triptii Dimri is one of the most promising young stars in Bollywood. She made her debut in 2017 with the movie, Poster Boys, but her role in the movie, Laila Majnu, brought her attention, and later, Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal made her an overnight star. Despite displaying her acting skills in Bulbbul and Qala, her sexualised image in Animal made headlines. Recently, the actress expressed her views on that image and whether she focused on moving away from that image.

Triptii Dimri has signed multiple projects after Animal, and none are similar to her in the film. Consequently, in a recent interview with Forbes, she was asked whether she is trying to deliberately move away from her ‘sexualised image’ created in the film. In her response, Triptii dismissed the claim and explained that she chose those roles because she wants to play different characters as an actor.
The Qala actress explained that she is choosing films from the work coming her way. At the same time, she is interested to work in exploring new things. Triptii admits she doesn’t want to limit herself and rather would face challenges to grow. She explained:
“I am going with the flow. The aim is to play different characters because I don’t want to go to a set and feel bored. I want to feel challenged and wonder, ‘How will this happen?’—and then make it happen.”

In the same conversation, Triptii Dimri addressed criticism that came her way for playing ‘Zoya’ in the Animal and ‘Saloni’ in Vicky Kaushal starrer Bad Newz. She explained that she wants to give it her all whenever she finds a character to play with a good plot in the film. However, her journey in Bollywood has taught her that some things will work while others won’t. At the same time, she understands that everyone won’t like whatever she does. Triptii elaborated, saying:
“There will be some people who like you and some who don’t. You can’t keep all that noise in mind. You have to follow your heart and do things that you feel are right.”

Triptii Dimri was last seen in Anees Bazmee’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa, co-starring Kartik Aaryan, Rajpal Yadav, Madhuri Dixit, and Vidya Balan. She will next be seen in Arjun Ustara alongside Shahid Kapoor. At the same time, she has Dhadak 2 with Siddhant Chaturvedi in the pipeline. She was also supposed to star in Aashiqui 3 with Kartik Aaryan, but rumors suggested that she was dropped from the film due to being ‘too exposed’. However, its director, Anurag Basu, has denied the speculations.
