Following the actress’s passing, Princess Eugenie wrote a tribute to Michelle Trachtenberg.

The 39-year-old Gossip Girl and Buffy the Vampire Slayer star was discovered dead on Wednesday at her New York City residence.

Police claimed “criminality is not suspected” despite opening an inquiry following her death.

Princess Eugenie praised Trachtenberg for “so many memories” in an Instagram post today.

“Adieu, my friend. She commented, “You are so missed and loved.”

“Thank you for so many enjoyable and humorous memories. You were really kind, giving, and hilarious.

“Listening to you order food was my favorite part; it was always done precisely so you received what we all desired.

“I’m thinking of you up there friend, of your spirit that was so bright and your joy you brought to so many.”

Previously residing in New York, Eugenie was spotted with Trachtenberg at a Madison Square Garden basketball game in 2013.

Buffy and Gossip Girl co-stars pay tribute

Trachtenberg’s most well-known roles were as Georgina Sparks in Gossip Girl and as Dawn Summers in Buffy, the younger sister of the titular character portrayed by Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Gellar posted a number of photos of herself and Trachtenberg with a comment mentioning a moment from the popular program as a way to honor her co-star.

“Listen to me, Michelle. Pay attention. I cherish you. You will always be loved by me. Living in this world is the most difficult thing. I’ll have courage. She wrote, “I will live… for you.”

On Instagram, James Marsters, who portrayed the punk vampire Spike, wrote: “Today, my heart is heavy. A lovely soul has passed away.

On social media, some of Trachtenberg’s co-stars from Gossip Girl have also paid their respects. Blake Lively, who played Serena van der Woodsen in the adolescent drama, said on Instagram: “Everything she did, she did 200%.”

Lively continued: “She laughed the fullest at someone’s joke, she faced authority head on when she felt something was wrong, she cared deeply about her work, she was proud to be a part of this community and industry as painful as it could be sometimes, she was fiercely loyal to her friends and brave for those she loved, she was big and bold and distinctly herself.”

Taylor Momsen, Gossip Girl’s Jenny Humphrey, said: “I will miss you everyday my love.”

“I’ll miss our late night calls that no one should ever hear but us,” she wrote. “She was always in my corner and there to support me whether I was right or wrong.

“I think we truly understood each other and I am so grateful to have had a friend like you in my life for so long.”
