Guinness World Records has named a restaurant in Shanghai as the world’s highest building. The “world’s highest restaurant in a building” has been added to the list of things that have been done.
In February, Guinness World Records officials gave the award to the Heavenly Jin restaurant, which is in the J Lodge Shanghai Tower in Shanghai, China.
The restaurant is on the 100th floor of the Shanghai Tower. It’s 556.36 metres (1,825 ft) above the ground. The J Hotel is on the top floor of the Shanghai Tower, which is the tallest building in China and the third tallest in the world at 632 metres (about 2,000 ft).

As one would expect from the world’s highest restaurant in a building, Heavenly Jin has amazing views of the Shanghai skyline from its perch atop the building. The food on the menu is said to be new twists on old favourites that combine European, Japanese, and Chinese food.
Fortunately, it also serves high tea, which makes the afternoon tradition more real.
As for the decor, when friends come in, they see a 30-meter-long mural with Italian mosaic tiles that shows a scene from the old Silk Street. The tables are set under a ribbon-like wave of crystal lights. 256 people can dine there, and there are five private dining rooms.
An open kitchen lets people watch the cooking process if they can keep their eyes off the view outside the restaurant’s floor-to-ceiling windows.
It turns out that Dubai has lost its crown.
In Dubai, Atmosphere was named the “highest restaurant.” Heavenly Jin took the title from them. It is on Stage 122 of the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, which opened in 2011. It is 441.3 metres high.
Why does Guinness World want to include the words “in a building” in the title? Because nature has a lot more high places for us to stand. Chacaltaya is the best restaurant in the world, and it’s in Bolivia. It’s in the Chacaltaya ski resort. Guinness says it’s at a height of 5,340 metres, which is what it is.

The J Lodge Shanghai Tower opened in mid-2021 and claims to be the world’s tallest hotel in a building. The hotel is owned by Jin Jiang Worldwide, one of China’s biggest state-owned hotel and tourism companies. It has 165 rooms and 34 suites, and it has private butler service all day and night.
However, Guinness world hasn’t agreed with J. Lodge’s claim that it is the tallest hotel in the world because it only looks at buildings that are used as resorts. (The J Lodge is in the upper part of the Shanghai Tower, not the whole building.)
So, this is the highest resort in the world, is that right?
The Gevora Lodge, which is 356 metres (1,168 ft) tall, was officially named the world’s tallest hotel by Guinness World Records in 2018. This hotel in Dubai has 528 rooms on 75 floors and opened in 2018. It’s famous for its golden exterior.
