In order to find some peace of mind after her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship, Taylor Swift turned to a friend. “I just did not know what to do,” Taylor said to Travis’ mother, Donna Kelce, on the field, as seen in a video posted to X (formerly Twitter), “and I would just text Brittany and be like, ‘Tell me it’s going to be OK.'” Still, the Grammy winner’s anxiety did not go away right away, and she expressed her gratitude to Brittany Mahomes, who is married to Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes).
The former soccer star was informed, “Oh my god, you kept me so calm the last couple weeks.”
The singer-songwriter’s dream came true, of course, as the Kansas City Chiefs will now meet the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2025 Super Bowl on February 9 in New Orleans.
Still, there were a few tense game-time scenarios.
At another point in the video, Taylor remarked, “My heart was in my throat,” before joking, “I was like, ‘I need to get medevacked out of here.'” This is absurd.
There were other touching moments following the Chiefs’ triumph besides Taylor and Brittany’s time on the field together.
She also got back in touch with Travis, whom she has been dating, to share a tender kiss in celebration of their victory.
