Scarlett Johansson did not only land the part in Jurassic World Rebirth.

The actress will make her long-awaited Jurassic debut in Jurassic World Rebirth, alongside Jonathan Bailey and Mahershala Ali.

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Johansson said that she spent years lobbying for a role in the franchise, sending trade news about potential Jurassic Park films to her agents.

“I was really crazy about the [original] film, and I slept in a Jurassic Park pup tent in my bedroom that I shared with my sister for a year,” she said, underscoring her strong attachment to the franchise.

“Anytime the trades would report a new Jurassic movie, I would forward to my agents like, ‘Hey, I’m available.'”

While doing reshoots for Black Widow at Britain’s Pinewood Studios in 2020, Johansson discovered Jurassic World Dominion being shot nearby. “Show me the set! I want to participate!” she remembered telling her crew.

Her tenacity finally led to a meeting with Steven Spielberg, the director of the first Jurassic Park film.

Their talk lasted many hours before Spielberg mentioned the franchise.

“He said, ‘Wait, we’re supposed to talk about Jurassic.'” Do I hear you are a major superfan?” Johansson stated. “I said, ‘It is truly true. I am confirming. “I am a huge superfan.”

Although she refrained from informing Spielberg about her Jurassic Park tent fixation, she now regrets it, saying that she didn’t want to appear like a “weird stalker.”
