Reese Witherspoon appears to be getting into football as the Super Bowl approaches.
Peyton Manning believes the actress might have a career in sports.
The 48-year-old Morning Show actress recently collaborated with the renowned quarterback on a humorous football lesson, sharing a delightful scene from the set of her upcoming comedy, You’re Cordially Invited.
In an Instagram video released on Sunday, Feb. 9, Witherspoon demonstrated her freshly learned football talents under the instruction of the former NFL player.
“Who knew filming #YoureCordiallyInvited would come with quarterback lessons from @PeytonManning,” she captioned the video, before sarcastically offering her new abilities to two of the league’s top clubs.
“Chiefs and Eagles… If you need an additional arm, I am available!”
The video begins with Manning, 48, teaching Witherspoon how to correctly handle the football, emphasizing that “it’s all about the grip.” As she learnt the technique, the Oscar-winning actress remarked, “Where are we throwing it?” before Manning told her to aim directly at him.
The two-time Super Bowl champion then delivered step-by-step instructions in his trademark funny style: “So first thing you’re gonna do is you’re gonna wipe the windshield,” he stated, illustrating the action of the non-throwing arm.
“Then you elbow the shorter individual… So you flick the booger from your finger.”
She copied Manning’s technique, tossing the ball across an office area. Her efforts instantly received praise from the football legend, who answered, “Like that. Perfect!”
