This week, Prince Harry will not be going back to the UK for his trial.

Major allegations regarding the security of his stay were denied by the Duke of Sussex, who was scheduled to return home for the trial of Rupert Murdoch’s News Group Newspapers (NGN).

There were rumors that Harry would be there on the opening day of the trial and would have “limited police protection” while there.

According to earlier accounts, King Charles made the offer as a courtesy to his estranged son, Harry, because he would be traveling for his legal struggle. The offer was made by Met Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley.

The insider’s assertions, however, have been refuted because Harry is due to appear in court in February and will not be present on the opening day of the NGN trial, according to reports from People Magazine and other publications.

Harry was reportedly given a room at the Buckingham Palace for the length of the visit, but he declined, reportedly as a form of “protest” against his father.

Harry has accused NGN of using illegal methods, such phone hacking, to violate privacy for their news articles between 1996 and 2011. He was supposedly targeted during this time by The Sun and the now-defunct News of the World.
