Novak Djokovic is a famous Serbian professional tennis player. The tennis player won a total of 99 singles titles, a record seven year-end championships, and an Olympic gold medal, and so many more. In his personal life, Novak got married to his childhood sweetheart, Jelena Djokovic, after dating for several years. The couple is parents to two kids, a son, Stefan, and a daughter, Tara. Recently, Novak hit back at a heckler in a witty manner at the Rod Laver Arena.

Novak Djokovic faced a physical challenge during the third-round match at the Australian Open 2025, but he still won with a 6-1, 6-4, 6-4 score against Thomas Machac. Well, during his post-match interview, when he conversed, a seemingly drunk fan kept passing comments on the Serbian tennis player. Novak seemingly felt annoyed and he hit back at the fan by stating that he has a wife. He also took a small dig at the fan by mentioning that he wonders if that person may have had a couple of drinks already. Novak can be heard saying:
“Sorry mate. I have a wife. We can have a drink though. Maybe you’ve had a few already.”

Novak Djokovic and Jelena Djokovic’s love story and wedding
Novak Djokovic and his wife, Jelena Djokovic’s love story is straight out of a fairytale novel. The duo first met at their school back in the 1990s, but back then, they were only acquaintances and not lovers. Eventually, they met again and it was in 2005, when Novak and Jelena started dating each other. The couple had been together for several years, and in 2013, they got engaged. One year later, in 2014, Novak got married to Jelena. In the same year, they welcomed their baby boy, Stefan. Three years later, the couple became parents yet again as they welcomed a baby girl, Tara, into their lives.
When Novak and Jelena got married, the latter was pregnant with their first child. Talking about his sentiments about the same, Novak told Hello Magazine that when she was walking down the aisle in the white gown, he wanted to be present at that moment, and he was fully focused on her, the smile she was flaunting, and their baby. Novak stated:
“I was trying to be present in that moment and memorize it. I was focused on her, and her smile, and our baby. It really was a perfect moment.”
For her wedding day, Jelena wore a white-toned Alexander McQueen wedding dress, while Novak wore a grey-toned pantsuit. The wedding was a close-knit affair with 100 guests, and they got married at Sveti Stefan, a coastal Montenegro town overlooking the Adriatic Sea. The couple seemingly named their baby boy, being inspired by the town’s name.
