Christopher McQuarrie, who co-wrote the screenplay with Erik Jendresen, is the director of the next American action spy movie Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. It is the eighth film in the Mission: Impossible film series and the immediate sequel to Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One (2023). Several actors from the earlier movies return, including Tom Cruise, Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Vanessa Kirby, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Henry Czerny, Angela Bassett, and Rolf Saxon.
