Prince Harry is “a pretty good cook” as well, according to Mindy Kaling, who has lauded the Duchess of Sussex’s culinary abilities.
The streamer claims that the 45-year-old actress “reimagines the genre of lifestyle” as a special guest on the royal’s upcoming Netflix series, With Love, Meghan.
“I was just in my maternity leave and Meghan texted me and said, ‘Hey do you want to come be in my show and come to Montecito and have me cook for you?'” Kaling, who has three children—Kate, 7, Spencer, 4, and Anne, 11 months—told Deadline on the Golden Globes red carpet. “Yeah, that sounds perfect, I would love to do that,” I said.
She continued by praising Meghan’s culinary abilities, stating: “I consider myself to be a passably good cook, but she obviously blew me out of the water.
“The thing about her cooking and presence was that they were simply very approachable. She has hens and a garden that she made from scratch, something I could never do. If I attempted to care for chickens, they would most likely all perish.
“Harry was there, but he didn’t cook for me,” Kaling responded when questioned about the Duke of Sussex. However, I’ve heard that he can cook really well. He is familiar with the kitchen.
After a four-year hiatus, Meghan returned to Instagram to introduce her new show. She shared a black-and-white video of herself on a beach on New Year’s Day, drawing the year 2025 in the sand with her finger.
“I have been so excited to share this with you!” she wrote as she followed up the following day with the show’s trailer. As much as I enjoyed creating the presentation, I hope you enjoy it too.
