Geetu Mohandas made her acting debut in 1986 opposite Mohanlal. She was just 5 years old at that time. The critics and audience loved her debut film, and Geetu garnered a lot of attention. It received a National Award and was also included in the Kerala state syllabus for 12th grade.
In 2013, Geetu made her debut as a director by directing a feature film, Liar’s Dice, which bagged two National Film Awards. Not just this, the film also marked India’s official entry to the 87th Academy Awards in the category of Best Foreign Language Film.
