Born in New Delhi in 1980, Aarti Ahlawat completed her schooling at Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan and Lady Irwin Secondary School in Delhi. She then earned a Diploma in Computer Science from Maitreyi College, Delhi University. Aarti Ahlawat is the daughter of Suraj Singh Ahlawat, who is an advocate.

It was at Aarti’s aunt’s marriage when a five-year-old Aarti met Virender for the first time. Since Aarti’s aunt married Virender’s cousin, she, too, became his relative. Their friendship bloomed at the wedding and was later transformed into love.

Aarti Sehwag is a businesswoman. However, not much is known about her business. In 2019, Virender Sehwag’s wife, Aarti, accused her business partners of forging her signatures to avail a loan of Rs. 4.5 crores. In her complaint, she alleged that her partners took a loan for forging her signatures and later defaulted on the repayment. She also alleged that her two partners used her husband, Virender Sehwag’s name to influence the company.

The complaint also stated that the accused did everything without her knowledge. After the accused failed to repay the loan, the firm took the case to court, and that was when Sehwag and Aarti learned about the loan and discovered her signature was being forged.

Virender Sehwag loves posting glimpses about his family. Lately, however, his fans have noticed that the cricketer hardly posts anything with his wife, Aarti, after which speculations about their divorce started.
