As the monarch embarked on his trip to Italy with Queen Camilla, a significant health update was released. The Mirror reported that the King is “in great form and completely unfazed” by the ongoing setbacks, including his health issues and family drama. An insider stated, “Italy was never in doubt, but what His Majesty’s break did do was allow him to take a breather and slow down, if only for a couple of days.” “Everyone has seen in recent days that he is in great form and completely unfazed by his recent setback, if anything both His Majesty and the Queen are even more excited to be getting on the road again,” the source said.
For those who are unaware, the King and Queen will go to the Holy See and the Republic of Italy on April 7–10, 2025, according to a March 18 announcement from Buckingham Palace.
It is worth noting that King Charles’ much anticipated visit was previously in jeopardy due to his brief hospital stay following cancer side effects.
In order to put his health first while undergoing cancer treatment, the king was had to postpone his royal engagements including a visit of Birmingham.
