Kelly Clarkson’s final talk show season gets major recognition

Kelly Clarkson is once again leading the 2026 Daytime Emmy Awards race with double nods, despite saying goodbye to her talk show.

On Monday, July 13, the 2026 Daytime Emmy nominations were announced and the Kelly Clarkson Show host received two nominations in different categories.

One for Outstanding Daytime Talk Series and the other one for Outstanding Daytime Talk Series Host.

Kelly is one of the talk show hosts who has been leading the awards race with a total of 13 nominations in past and now the recent nods marked her 14th and 15th nominations so far in her career as a host.

Notably, she has won eight Daytime Emmy Awards, four for Outstanding Daytime Talk Series Host and four for Outstanding Talk Show, all for The Kelly Clarkson Show.

For those unversed, Kelly announced that she will exit The Kelly Clarkson Show after its current seventh season, ending in fall 2026.

Other hosts nominated for similar categories for this year are Jennifer Hudson for The Jennifer Hudson Show, Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Joy Behar, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Ana Navarro, and Sunny Hostin for The View, Sherri Shepherd for Sherri, and Tamron Hall for Tamron Hall.

The 53rd annual Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony will take place on 30 October in Hollywood.

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ president and CEO, Adam Sharp, said in a statement, “We’re proud to honour the extraordinary talent and creative teams whose work continues to define and elevate daytime television.”

A host for the ceremony is yet to be announced.
