Kelly Clarkson puts Las Vegas shows on hold for ‘unexpected’ reason

According to reports, Kelly Clarkson was hesitant to delay her eagerly awaited move to Las Vegas.

The 43-year-old vocalist, who gained notoriety after winning American Idol in 2002, recently announced that she will be delaying her next concerts.

The Grammy-winning performer didn’t want to postpone any performances, a person close to her told PEOPLE. She was heartbroken and felt bad for her followers who had come to meet her. She has been ecstatic about meeting her fans and her residency in Las Vegas.

This occurs soon after the Stronger singer formally declared that her forthcoming performances will be postponed.

Clarkson clarified on Instagram, saying, “My voice has suffered as a result of the preparation and rehearsals. In order to give you all what you deserve, I am taking this weekend and next week off from performing because I want the concerts to be flawless for you all and I need to prevent myself from doing any major harm. The show is amazing. I want us all to get off to a great start, and the singers and musicians are amazing. I can’t wait to show you everyone what we’ve been working on when I return next weekend.

In February 2025, the vocalist of Underneath the Tree stated that she will be relocating to Los Angeles.

Notably, Friday, July 4 was the initial anticipated start date for the performance.
