On their podcast, Sibling Revelry with Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson, Kate Hudson and her brother Oliver Hudson recently talked about their strong sibling relationship.
In response to a question about a time when they “really leaned on each other,” Kate disclosed that her brother supported her throughout the 2007 divorce from Chris Robinson.
Kate praised Oliver for supporting her and her son Ryder, saying, “For me, with you in my divorce with having Ryder and being a working mom, I felt like you really stepped up without me asking.”
“You just took on the role of Uncle Ollie and supported Ryder and us wholeheartedly. You truly stood up for me during that time, I believe, without my having to ask,” she added. “Looking back, you were really steady for Ryder and me. We produced enjoyable moments with the children and had a great time.
With her ex-husband Chris Robinson, Kate, 46, has three children in a mixed family: Ryder, 21; and Bingham “Bing” Hawn.
Kate talked candidly about her mixed family in an interview with People magazine in June 2024, saying that they are “very connected” and “very close.” “Love may take on several forms. There is a lot of love for all the children in that modern family, which is interesting,” she said.
The 48-year-old Oliver revealed that he and his sister always had “micro leanings” with one another. There are small things that occur. It’s not one of those major catastrophes where you’re told to put your head on my shoulder. He said, “It’s the little things.”
