There is a significant recall advisory that only affects North Carolina customers. Because of possible listeria contamination, the FDA is recalling 12,000 pounds of organic blueberries that were transported to the state.

The recall has been categorized by the FDA as having the greatest degree of risk. The initial recall was announced on June 9th, and this follows that. Atlanta, Georgia-based Alma Pak International manufactured the blueberries. The FDA stated that the facility’s regular testing revealed positive Listeria findings, which prompted the first recall.

The batch in question is identified by Lot numbers 13325 G1060 and 13325 G1096. One client in the state received the recalled blueberries, the FDA said.

12,000 pounds of blueberries recalled over listeria risks.

According to the FDA website, a Class I recall occurs when “there is a reasonable probability that the use of, or exposure to, a violative product will cause serious adverse health consequences or death.”

The FDA claims that one client in North Carolina received the recalled blueberries.
