Hailey Bieber has been hit by bad news this week amid a long-standing ongoing controversy with Selena Gomez, which got reheated after their recent comments about each other.
The 28-year-old supermodel received a lot of backlash after her latest interview, where she seemingly shut down feud rumours with Gomez, 33, admitting that she doesn’t “feel competitive with people that I’m not inspired by,” given her skincare brand, which is similar to the singer’s.
Adding to the negative conversations, Hailey also suffered a professional setback as her brand, Rhode, which signed an acquisition deal with Elf, could not meet the goal for expected sales.
A recent filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission revealed that the sales for Rhode had a total of $40.2 million sales which was below the investors’ expectations and will affect the brand’s overall profitability.
Discussing the news on X, some fans sided with the mom of one, while most social media users slammed her brand, comparing it to the Disney alum’s, as one wrote, “I don’t support bullies, so I never purchased Rhode.”
