According to reports, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth had a second group chat with his brother, wife, and personal attorney on delicate military operations.

Once more, it is believed that the conversations received through the Signal messaging app included information of an attack on the Houthis, who are affiliated with Iran, in Yemen in March.

There were perhaps a dozen members of the second chat group, which was first publicized by The New York Times. According to the Reuters news agency, it disclosed information about the airstrikes’ timeline.

While his brother was employed in the Pentagon as a senior consultant and liaison for the Department of Homeland Security, Mr. Hegseth’s wife, Jennifer, a former Fox News producer, has been to classified meetings with foreign military counterparts.

A writer from The Atlantic magazine, who was inadvertently invited to the Signal app by national security advisor Mike Waltz, disclosed military secrets from the first conversation group.

After that, Mr. Hegseth gave cabinet officials confidential intelligence on the airstrike on targets in Yemen last month, which was subsequently leaked.
