Colleges must have naloxone as soon as possible due to the high number of opioid overdoses. College nurse Katie Straub felt the load of every second go by as she waited for paramedics to arrive. A scholar had overdosed on opioids, and the varsity did not have naloxone, a drug that cofor the racts the effects of an opioid overdose.

“It was horrendous,” mentioned Straub, a nurse for Tucson Unified College District, the most important faculty districtdoingn Tucson, Arizona. “Nothing feels worse than standing by watching, not likely capable of do something.”
