Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have reached a settlement in their divorce.
About a month after she initially filed for divorce, Lopez submitted paperwork to a Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday, requesting that a judge finalize the split.
According to the paperwork, the couple used mediation to resolve their divorce, and neither party was required to pay the other alimony.
After the divorce is finalized, Lopez will also remove Affleck from her legal name.
After calling off their initial engagement in the early 2000s, the famous couple renewed their romance and were married in July 2022 in Las Vegas.
A month after their first ceremony in Nevada, Lopez filed for divorce in August 2024, precisely two years after their much larger wedding.
According to court documents, the couple declared their formal separation in April 2023.
In the 2000s, Lopez, 55, and Affleck, 52, also known as Bennifer, were an instant power couple in Hollywood.
When Affleck appeared in the singer’s music video for the smash song “Jenny From The Block” in 2002, it sparked a media frenzy. The following year, they costarred in the movie Gigli and Jersey Girl.
When the couple, who were both single at the time, were pictured together in 2021, rumors of a reconciliation began to circulate. Later that year, they acknowledged that they had renewed their romance.
