Izzy, Richard Hammond’s daughter, revealed that the actor was mostly absent from their early years, providing insight into the family’s early history.
According to the 24-year-old content producer, her mother has been extremely “frustrated” by the frequent household disputes.
This follows the Top Gear star’s announcement on Thursday that he and Mindy were divorcing after 28 years of marriage.
Izzy was reportedly asked, “Would you call your dad a daredevil or an idiot?” when she appeared on Ben Fowler’s podcast Road To Success a few days before to the announcement of her parents’ divorce.
“We’ve done handbrake turns around roundabouts,” the astute motorhead said. “Sorry, I know that’s incredibly illegal, you might have to cut that out.” He is a fool.
“He has that thing that racing drivers have where they just don’t have the fear,” she said. Everybody has that “okay, I know where the line is” moment, but he was missing it. He would literally just keep going and going.
