In light of continuing concerns over Prince Harry’s prior drug usage confessions, Donald Trump is being encouraged to advocate for the publication of Prince Harry’s immigration papers.

A conservative think tank in Washington called the Heritage Foundation is calling for openness in Harry’s visa application, saying the Duke’s admission of using cocaine, marijuana, and psychedelic mushrooms in his memoir Spare raises questions about his eligibility to enter the country.

According to the think tank, Harry’s records are of substantial public interest, and applicants are required by U.S. immigration statutes to reveal prior drug usage.

The organization is now urging Trump to use his executive authority to reexamine the issue, after losing a legal battle in September to make his records public when Judge Carl Nichols decided to keep them secret.

Trump might step in, according to Nile Gardiner, director of the Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom at the Heritage Foundation.

“Donald Trump’s focus on strict border enforcement aligns with ensuring accountability for individuals like Prince Harry, who has admitted to extensive drug use,” Gardiner said in an interview with the New York Post.

The Sussex family’s relationship with Trump is already tense since the former president has frequently criticized Harry and Meghan Markle.

Under Trump’s administration, Harry’s immigration status and potential tax liabilities in the United States may now become new issues.

The demand for Harry’s immigration documents to be made public raises concerns about how his contentious background may affect his future in the US and signals a fresh attention on it.
