Moushumi Chatterjee says Rajesh Khanna rightfully had a massive ego due to his success

Moushumi Chatterjee recently appeared for an interview with Anandabazar Patrika. During the interview, she reminisced about her early years in Bollywood, working alongside industry greats like Amitabh Bachchan and Rajesh Khanna. The actress candidly revealed that yesteryear superstar, Rajesh Khanna had a massive ego. However, in the same beat, Moushumi defended the actor and said he had earned his ego rightfully through his unmatched success.

In an interview with Lehren Retro in 2023, Moushumi recounted paying Rajesh a visit with her younger daughter. Recalling the actor’s heartwarming words to her daughter, she poignantly said:

“Today, he is no more. I went to see him also in his last stage. He was praising me in front of my younger daughter. He said to her, ‘Your maa was mad but we were all scared of her. She doesn’t believe in any nonsense.'”
