This time around, the diva appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show, where she re-created her iconic dance with Amitabh on their hit song, Salaam-E-Ishq, but with a twist.
For the show, Rekha graced the stage in her iconic silk kanjivaram saree, shimmering in golden hues, and a regal full-sleeved red blouse. Her ensemble was adorned with gold necklaces, stacked bangles, earrings, tikli, and a touch of glamorous makeup, accentuating her timeless beauty. In the recent promo, Rekha was seen seated on the couch as Krushna Abhishek, dressed as Amitabh in all white, made a grand entrance. This was a recreation of Amitabh’s iconic look from the song, Salaam-E-Ishq. The two then shared a delightful dance, captivating the audience with their charm.

During the conversation, Kapil Sharma mentioned Amitabh Bachchan in front of Rekha. Kapil shared an incident from Kaun Banega Crorepati where Amitabh asked his mom what she ate before giving birth to him. Kapil mimicked what Amitabh said, and remarked, “Devi ji, kya kha ke paida kiya?” Kapil mimicked Amitabh’s words, and Rekha, with her quick wit, immediately recalled Amitabh’s next line, ‘Daal-Phulka’. When the audience burst into laughter, Rekha teased by saying that she remembered each of Amitabh Bachchan’s dialogues. Rekha can be heard saying:
“Mujhse puchiye na, ek ek dialogue yaad hai.”

Rekha and Amitabh Bachchan first met on the set of Do Anjaane, back in 1976. Their love started blossoming around that time, but Amitabh was already married to Jaya Bachchan.
