I know this may be an unpopular opinion, but I’m not a huge fan of Valentine’s Day. The obligatory dinner date and overpriced roses, have never really been my cup of tea. I prefer to stay home and open a bottle of wine without the 90 minute table alotment. But Galentine’s Day? That’s a concept I can get behind. An occasion to get all dolled up, and to have a “ladies who lunch” moment with Gals that you can’t get enough of? Yes, please! I invited 8 of my favorite blogger girls to join me on the rooftop of the Waldorf Astoria. We indulged in a delicious three-course meal, complete with panoramic views of the city – all the way to the ocean! (What seemed like) bottomless rosé, and an afternoon full of laughter.
If you’re a foodie like me, then I know you’re curious to know what was on the menu. We enjoyed family style starters of buttery Burrata, Pistacio Guacamole, and flavorful Tuna Tartar. Then we had our main courses: Truffle Cheeseburgers, Seared Salmon, Roasted Chicken, Bolognese Ragu and my personal favorite – the Lobster Burger. For dessert, we were spoiled with a trio of treats! Gingerbread Cake, Pomegranate Sorbet and an assortment of cookies. The meal was absolutely incredible, and every bite was more delicious than the last. If you haven’t experienced the Rooftop by JG restaurant, I highly recommend it for a romantic date night, girls night out, or even special occasions and events (it would be so perfect for a bridal shower!). No matter what the occasion is, I know that you’ll enjoy the food, drinks and view.
Thanks for stopping by!
