A gluten-free Reese’s Items brownie brittle was recalled Thursday as a result of it comprises wheat, which comprises gluten.

Second Nature Manufacturers, which sells the “Sheila G’s Gluten Free Reese’s Items Brownie Brittle,” recalled the dessert snack after it was found that the product’s packaging didn’t say that it contained wheat, which is the principle supply of gluten. Extreme allergic reactions to gluten will be life-threatening.

One sickness has been reported due to unhealthy labeling.

An investigation of the brownie brittle discovered that the gluten-free product was cross-contaminated by a co-manufacturers product that makes use of wheat.
