An owl that escaped from the Central Park Zoo after somebody ripped his enclosure open is searching by itself, regardless of earlier considerations it may not, zoo officers mentioned.

Flaco, a Eurasian eagle owl, flew off Feb. 2 after his exhibit was vandalized in New York Metropolis.

After his escape, zoo officers expressed concern Flaco may not hunt and will starve.

However by Sunday, the chicken’s survival instincts had kicked in sufficient for the Wildlife Conservation Society – the non-profit group which operates the zoo – to ease up its intense efforts to nab the chicken again.
