The accident occurred round 6:22 p.m. CT (7:22 p.m. ET) at a practice crossing that had crossing arms, audio and visible indicators, Birmingham Hearth and Rescue Battalion Chief Sebastian Carrillo informed CNN.
There have been no reported accidents to workers or passengers on the Amtrak practice.
Corey Antonia Jones, 43, was the driving force and lone occupant of the Ford Fiesta struck by the Amtrak practice, the Jefferson County Coroner mentioned.
On Sunday, three folks have been killed when a practice collided with a car in California whereas 4 folks have been killed and roughly 150 folks have been injured when an Amtrak collided with a dump truck close to Mendon, Missouri, on Monday.
