The Lions defeat the Redblacks for the second time in a row:

Lions dominate Redblacks at the Ottawa 45-13 at B.C. Place in Vancouver on Saturday night for their first home win since October 5, 2019.
Mike Reilly, the Lions’ quarterback, completed 22 of 26 passes for 319 yards, four touchdowns, and an interception. In the fourth quarter, kicker Jimmy Camacho added a 14-yard field goal.
Dominique Davis finished 30 for 51 throwing for 333 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in his first start since November 1, 2019. Richie Leone, the punter, also passed for 29 yards on a third-down trick play in the second quarter, connecting for a first down.
Reilly looked razor-sharp in the early going, coming off a bye week after struggling with an elbow issue earlier in the season. He completed 10-of-10 passes and drove 193 yards of total offence in the first quarter, leading his club to a 21-7 lead.

As B.C. crushes Ottawa 45-13, Michael Reilly throws for four touchdowns and Lucky Whitehead returns a failed field goal 119 yards for a touchdown.
Keon Hatcher, who made his CFL debut on his 27th birthday as a fill-in for injured receiver Dominique Rhymes, scored the Lions’ first touchdown with an eight-yard reception just five plays and 2:43 into the game.
The other throwing touchdowns came from Jevon Cottoy and Bryan Burnham, who each scored twice, and Lucky Whitehead, who returned a failed Ottawa from goal 51 seconds into the second quarter for a 119-yard end-to-end score.
Whitehead also caught a 63-yard aerial deep in the Redblacks zone midway in the third quarter, setting the stage for Burnham’s second touchdown of the night.
After a chaotic sequence of plays, B.C. found the end zone for the sixth time before halftime. Three plays after Reilly threw his first interception of the season into the end zone from the five-yard line, Bo Lokombo returned an interception for 20 yards. With 1:45 left in the second quarter, Lions’ Obum Gwachum recovered a fumble deep in the Redblacks’ zone, giving Lion’s superb field position.
Ottawa’s only touchdown was caught by Ryan Davis. Lewis Ward scored seven points on two field goals and a conversion.
With the win, the Lions (3-2) tied for second place in the West Division with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. The Redblacks (1-4) have now lost four straight games and will have a week off.
After defeating the Redblacks 24-12 on the road two weeks ago, the Lions have officially won the season series. In Week 5, the Ottawa Senators were defeated 51-29 by the Montreal Alouettes.
