Short Story Based on the Movie “Bad Women”
Genre: Drama · Thriller · Crime
Directed by: Israel Adrián Caetano
Starring: Florencia Raggi, Rafael Ferro, Ana Celentano
“Bad Women” (Spanish: Mujeres Malas) is a slow-burning, emotionally charged thriller that explores betrayal, revenge, and the blurred lines between justice and vengeance.
Set in the outskirts of Buenos Aires, the story revolves around Verónica (Florencia Raggi) — a polished, elegant art dealer whose seemingly perfect life begins to unravel after her husband, Esteban (Rafael Ferro), is accused of financial fraud and abuse of power.
When Verónica discovers a hidden ledger detailing illegal dealings tied to political figures and criminal syndicates — and implicating Esteban — she’s forced into a world she never thought she’d enter. But this isn’t just about business or crime. It’s personal.
Enter Clara (Ana Celentano), an old friend and former activist-turned-private investigator, who brings with her decades of resentment and scars from past betrayals. Together, Verónica and Clara uncover how deeply Esteban’s web extends — and how many women he’s used, manipulated, and discarded along the way.
Rather than go to the police, the two women decide to take justice into their own hands, one step at a time. What starts as an investigation turns into a calculated revenge plot — elegant, intelligent, and cold. But as the lines blur between revenge and cruelty, Verónica begins to question whether she’s becoming the very thing she once feared.
In a chilling finale, Esteban is left ruined, not by violence, but by public exposure, disgrace, and betrayal from the women he underestimated. But Verónica walks away changed — powerful, yes, but hollow.
“Bad Women” isn’t about good or evil. It’s about the quiet rage that simmers for years — and what happens when it finally boils over.
