Blake Lively is making a crucial move in her continuing lawsuit against Justin Baldoni, the director and co-star of her film It Ends With Us.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lively’s legal team has subpoenaed Scooter Braun, CEO of Hybe America, and the firm itself in an effort to learn more about Melissa Nathan, a crisis PR expert hired to defend Baldoni.

According to Lively’s lawsuit, Baldoni and his production firm Wayfarer used social media to retaliate against her after she filed a sexual harassment accusation.

Braun’s involvement in the lawsuit comes only two days after a federal court approved Baldoni’s plea to dismiss his $400 million countersuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and others.

Lively’s legal team appears to be seeking further information on Nathan’s role in the case. The subpoenas indicate that Lively’s team is investigating any ties between Braun, Hybe America, and Nathan’s work with Baldoni.

Taylor Swift, a longtime friend of Lively’s, has also weighed in on the matter, granting permission to use one of her songs in Lively’s edit of the film. Swift also faced the possibility of having to testify about her part in supporting Lively’s screenplay modifications to the film’s first scene.

While Lively’s legal team hailed the current verdict a “total victory,” the court allowed Wayfarer and Baldoni’s legal team to submit an additional case based on limited contractual responsibilities.
