“Early breast cancer” is the diagnosis made for singer Jessie J.
In an Instagram video, the Price Tag singer, whose actual name is Jessica Cornish, said that she had been “in and out of tests” a lot lately.
Following her performance at Capital Radio’s Summertime Ball later this month, she stated that she will “disappear for a bit” in order to have surgery.
In the video, the 37-year-old stated, “I was diagnosed with early breast cancer,”
“I am clinging to the term ‘early’ because cancer is awful in any form.
It’s a rather dramatic method of getting a breast augmentation. After Summertime Ball, I’ll be gone for a while for surgery, but I’ll be returning with huge tits and more songs.”
In the UK, breast cancer is the most prevalent cancer among women.
The singer claimed that making her illness public had aided in her grieving process and allowed her to express support for anyone experiencing a similar situation.
“I just wanted to be open and share it,” she stated.
“First, I don’t talk about it enough out of selfishness. I’m working so hard that I’m not digesting it.
“I am also aware of how sharing has benefited me in the past, as I have received support, love, and personal anecdotes from others. I’m completely transparent.
“It breaks my heart that so many people are going through so much similar and worse – that’s the bit that kills me.”
