To correct the record, Andy Cohen said that the Real Housewives of New York City will not be fired.
On the May 13 broadcast of Andy Cohen Live, Cohen made it very evident that the venerable Bravo property is just, well, in between seasons, despite a barrage of clickbait headlines that suggested it was ending permanently.
The 56-year-old executive producer said, “I don’t know how else to put it, we are between seasons on the Housewives,” expressing shock at the persistent rumors.
“What’s so interesting is that last week when I was here, the Bravo executives met with 10 potential new Real Housewives of New York,” he added, further dispelling the allegations.
To put it another way, the women of New York are just making a stylish late appearance rather than abandoning your screens.
I’m at a loss for words. It’s rather strange. It simply goes on and on. “There you have it,” Cohen said.
Bravo relaunched the show in early 2022 with a new cast after a rocky season 13 that left viewers and reviewers split.
With Racquel Chevremont filling in for season 15, Brynn Whitfield, Erin Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, Ubah Hassan, and Sai De Silva added flare to the revamped series.
Cohen openly told Deadline in November 2024, “I think the group dynamic is a little bit of a challenge this season.”
