In all honesty, Brittany Cartwright is not wrong to be honest about her love for Jax Taylor.
Let’s just say that if there were prizes for obstinate ex-partners, Jax would have won the category when the Valley star talked candidly about their breakup.
Cartwright disclosed in an open interview with People that, at least for her, their breakup wasn’t really a fresh start.
Taylor, 45, reportedly refused to relocate for a full seven months as she was moving out of the house they lived with their son, Cruz, in Los Angeles.
“I had to move to different rental houses, but Jax would not leave for seven months,” she remarked. He could even move into the rental homes I paid for, I replied.
“But wasn’t that their house?” is what you could be asking yourself. —you’d be partially correct. However, Cartwright expressed that it felt like home.
“I desired to be present. This place feels like a home because of me. This is where Cruz was born. This is his home. He has his swing set and his pool outdoors. He has a playroom. Everything is here for him.
Indeed, there is a great deal of dissatisfaction. She didn’t mince words when she declared, “I’ll never forgive him for doing that to us.”
She also disclosed how upsetting the circumstances were for their autistic kid.
We shouldn’t be the ones moving about when you’re dealing with a youngster who has autism. That was not supposed to occur. But Jax is just like that.
Only months later, in December 2024, did Taylor finally move into a Hollywood condo. Cartwright, however, thinks the timing wasn’t entirely coincidental.
“I think he finally realized, ‘Oh God, everyone is going to see that I made her move out of the house,'” she added, when the cameras were switched on.
“I won’t even lie; that’s probably the only reason he moved out at all.”
Cartwright made it apparent that she would not be leaving her beloved home.
“I’m not selling her,” she said with pride.
Although they were married in 2019, Cartwright and Taylor formally parted ways in January 2024. She was obviously prepared to put a stop to that chapter both physically and symbolically when she filed for divorce in August.
