To commemorate a significant turning point in the Duchess of Edinburgh’s life, Prince William and Kate Middleton sent a public tribute for her.
In advance of Sophie’s 60th birthday, King Charles’ administration released an honorary message for her on Saturday.
A greeting for Prince Edward’s wife was then conveyed by the Prince and Princess of Wales.
“Happy 60th birthday to the Duchess of Edinburgh today!” A red balloon and a cake emoji were displayed with the statement.
Buckingham Palace has made previously unseen images of the royal public available as part of the monarch’s homage to the Duchess.
According to reports, Prince Edward and Sophie have a very tight bond that has only gotten stronger since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left their prominent royal roles to move to the US and begin independent lives.
The announcement also coincides with rumors that Sophie may soon play a bigger part in the royal family. King Charles intends to give Sophie the credit she merits, according to a RadarOnline article.
William is also preparing significant preparations for Lady Louise and Viscount James, the offspring of Sophie and Edward.
