Drew Barrymore is demonstrating once more that sultry surprises can still be found on daytime television, particularly when Matt Bomer is around.
The 50-year-old presenter of The Drew Barrymore Show invited Matt Bomer, Nathan Lane, and Nathan Lee Graham, all of whom are stars of Mid-Century Modern, to her stage for the April 4 program.
But when Bomer, 47, went over and above with his welcome, things immediately became fun and flirtatious.
“I mean, should we kiss?” he said, approaching Barrymore. Without any hesitation, the two leaned in and kissed, then pulled back into a cozy embrace.
Without skipping a beat, Barrymore said, “It’s the only action that I get.”
As she wiped Bomer’s lips, she said, “And I just ate cacio e pepe!” “Same, by the way,” the actress, who has been married to Simon Halls since 2011, added to the fun. The same goes for me, since I’ve been married for years.
Barrymore obviously couldn’t handle the situation, as he abruptly passed out on the ground before the interview could start.
Bomer, being the gentleman, assisted her in getting back up. Graham interrupted, saying, “You might have to give her mouth-to-mouth,” to which Barrymore teasingly replied, “He usually does!”
After everyone had sat down, Barrymore continued to be charming by admitting that only two people—Bomer and Andrew Rannells—had ever been given the title of “smoochy-toodles” on her program.
