MEXICO CITY — Frida, a yellow Labrador retriever rescue canine that gained fame within the days following Mexico’s Sept. 19, 2017, earthquake has died, Mexico’s navy introduced Tuesday.

Clad in goggles and neoprene booties, Frida turned a logo of hope following the earthquake that left greater than 300 individuals lifeless in Mexico Metropolis and surrounding states. Her picture exploded throughout the web and her face graced murals within the capital.
