Most footage of Uranus in textbooks present it as a vibrant blue, featureless ball.
NASA scientists say Uranus’ rings have solely been captured by two different cameras. They have been first scoped out by the Voyager 2 spacecraft because it flew previous in 1986. Later, the Keck Observatory in Hawaii spied the planet’s ring system with superior adaptive optics know-how.
However the James Webb Area Telescope, the preeminent new observatory that senses mild at invisible, infrared wavelengths, permits astronomers to see the seventh planet from the solar for what it actually is: a world topped with rings, wonderful rings.
