Osgood Perkins is the writer and director of the 2025 American comedic horror film The Monkey. Theo James, Tatiana Maslany, Christian Convery, Colin O’Brien, Rohan Campbell, Sarah Levy, Adam Scott, and Elijah Wood feature in the movie, which is based on Stephen King’s 1980 short tale. It centers on twin boys whose lives are completely upended by a toy monkey that has been cursed and is killing people all around them. On February 21, 2025, Neon premiered The Monkey in theaters across the United States. Critics gave the movie mostly excellent reviews, and despite having a $10–11 million budget, it has made $21 million globally.
