The Jumeirah Maldives will make its Indian Ocean premiere next month.

Jumeirah Group has announced the opening of a new international resort in the Maldives, Jumeirah Maldives, which will welcome its first guests in October.

The all-villa luxury resort is tucked away in the beautiful blue seas of the North Malé Atoll, conveniently accessible from Malé airport by speedboat or aircraft.

Miaja, a Singaporean design studio, established an elegant contemporary ethos in tune with the natural surroundings, which is reflected in the panoramic architecture and tranquil interiors.

“The Maldives is a much-loved hideaway for travellers from all over the world, and Jumeirah Maldives is a place that delivers on our brand promise of Stay Different,” said José Silva, CEO of Jumeirah Group.

“The resort provides unrivalled hospitality with a real flair that exceeds visitor expectations, all while pushing the boundaries of design, culinary, and service skills.

“A truly breathtaking addition to the brand’s portfolio, Jumeirah Group’s new home in the Maldives ensures an immaculate guest experience from the moment they set foot in our new contemporary resort.”

The Jumeirah Maldives has 67 beach and over-water villas in one-, two-, and three-bedroom configurations, all with breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean.

The villas at the resort are among the most extensive in the North Malé Atoll, starting at 171 square metres.

Each villa has its own infinity pool and large roof-top terrace with a dedicated dining area where guests can take in the spectacular views while indulging in delectable culinary dishes or relaxing with a picture-perfect movie under the stars experience, and the three-bedroom villas also have their own gym.

Guests can participate in a variety of activities such as water sports, beach volleyball, billiards, and tennis, or edifying experiences such as underwater photography, planting coconut trees, and manufacturing coconut oil.
