Sadie Sink Wants to Savor 'Stranger Things' Final Season (Exclusive)

Sadie Sink can’t believe Stranger Things is finally coming to an end.

The actress spoke with ET’s Denny Directo at Variety’s Power of Young Hollywood event on Thursday — where she was honored alongside performer Sabrina Carpenter, Saturday Night Live’s Marcello Hernandez, and more young icons — and she reflected on filming the upcoming fifth and final season of the Netflix sci-fi hit.

“It’s been super positive, honestly. Because it’s the last season, we really want to savor every moment and just enjoy the time that we have together — and deliver a a season that everyone’s been kind of waiting for,” she shared.

As for getting honored at the event, for her work on Stranger Things as well as major parts in the Oscar-winning film The Whale, the Netflix horror trilogy Fear Street, and Taylor Swift’s epic 10-minute “All Too Well” music video, Sink said it felt like “such an honor.”

“Ive been in this industry for a while, so to have reached this point and achieve this is, I don’t know, I just feel very lucky and it’s a huge accomplishment,” she marveled.

ET spoke with Sink’s co-star Maya Hawke at the Inside Out 2 premiere back in June, and she shared that returning to film the final season has been “reinvigorating,” despite the big emotions for the cast.

“It’s already starting to be heartbreaking, you know? I mean, it’s the end of a really long journey,” Hawke reflected. “Longer for some of my castmates, even, than for me. So it’s really sentimental.”

“But as a late addition cast member, I feel like it’s my job to be here to facilitate their feelings and just be grateful and excited to have been a part of it at all,” she added.”

Stranger Things season 1-4 are streaming now on Netflix. Season 5 is expected to premiere in 2025.
