Sabrina Carpenter dismisses ‘nonsense’ long album breaks

Sabrina Carpenter recently questioned the concept of taking extensive pauses between album releases after announcing her seventh studio album.

The pop phenomenon, who is presently on her Short n’ Sweet Tour, frankly labeled the long pauses between albums “nonsense”.

In a Rolling Stone cover story published on Thursday, June 12, Carpenter, 26, stated, “If I wanted to, I could have stretched out Short n’ Sweet much, much longer.” But I’m at the stage in my life where I’m like.

“Why should I wait three years only to wait three years? “It’s all about what feels right,” she stated. “I’m learning to listen to that a lot more, instead of what is perceived as the right or wrong move.”

The Looking at Me singer also spoke about the creative freedom around her new album.

She went on, “I’m living in the glory of no one hearing or knowing about it, so I can’t care.” I can’t give a f**k about it because I’m so happy.

This comes after Carpeneter thrilled her followers with the official announcement of Man’s Best Friend on Wednesday, June 11.

The American hitmaker took to Instagram and published a carousel of photographs revealing the album’s cover and title.

She wrote, “My next album, Man’s Best Friend, comes out on August 29, 2025. “I can’t wait for it to be yours. Pre-order now.”
