Paris Hilton recently spoke up about the anguish she felt after being dubbed “NSFW” following the leak of her private tape.
During a recent interview, the 44-year-old media celebrity reflected on the past and made a brave confession.
She told presenter Alex Cooper, “I was in Australia with my sister Nikki when I received a phone call from someone on my time. They told me that one of the entertainment shows had gotten a 30-second clip, which I didn’t believe. I was like, “What?” That must be a forgery. There’s no way, because I don’t recall making it. And then they forwarded it to me.”
Later in the conversation, the House of Wax star said that the tragedy was so heartbreaking that she had cancelled her press trip for The Simple Life series.
Hilton said, “I just didn’t want to leave my place. I was so depressed. I felt so embarrassed. I felt as if I had let down my family, my younger brothers and sister. It was only that I put so much guilt on myself, and now that I’m an adult and looking back, I see the humiliation should not have been mine.”
“After that, I was really closed off. “I didn’t want to hook up with anyone because I was nervous,” she said. “That’s what people would call me because I wouldn’t do anything.”
