The 58-year-old celebrity revealed that her most creative moments were when she was absolutely afraid. Her singing performance in The Naked Gun, when she was compelled to give it her best due to nervousness, was one particularly memorable moment.
“You must have courage,” the Hollywood actress told Entertainment Weekly. Being an actor at all requires bravery.
In fact, I love singing a lot. I adore performing on stage. The experience is incredibly satisfying because I believe that we suppress a lot of our inner selves, especially as artists. I enjoy writing poems and journals, but performing and making movies are other ways to express oneself since everything is so full of emotion.”
To make her Naked Gun performance come to life, Pamela drew on her personal experiences.
“Even in a crazy scene like that, I’m able to get it out because I’m thinking of personal experiences in my life while I sing all the words to that song,” she added. Therefore, it’s doing some of your deepest ideas rather than just spitting out the words.
Pamela, however, said that she never felt comfortable with the sex symbol tag.
