Pamela Anderson discusses taking back her profession and life.

One of Hollywood’s most recognizable faces is Pamela Anderson.

When Pamela Anderson was seen on a massive jumbotron screen at a baseball game, everyone’s attention was drawn to her physical characteristics.

The 57-year-old model and actress is taking back her life, her narrative, and her profession.

She says, “I feel so free,” when discussing her most recent movie, The Last Showgirl, with Sky News at a London hotel.

“I keep a lot of emotional journals, and you may read a lot of them. Nothing compares to creating art as a way to express yourself and mend aspects of yourself, even if you chat to your best friend or attend therapy.

In The Last Showgirl, a seasoned performer must make plans for the future after her 30-year tenure in Las Vegas ends suddenly.

When her former agency sent along the screenplay, she nearly lost the gig.

She smiles and says, “I have a new agent now,”

After discovering the screenplay, her son Brandon was the driving force behind her professional comeback.

“My sons are so protective of me and their goal is just to say: ‘Mom, we just want you to be able to know that you focused on us as kids and we want you to have the opportunity to shine and to reach your potential as an actress’.”

“I do have a lot to give, so now I just feel so free,” she continues. When I had children, I was too focused on them to do anything like this. I now have the chance to participate in this cosmos since they are grown, doing well, and thriving.”

One of the most difficult times, when her sex tape with her ex-husband Tommy Lee was released, was later turned into a TV show alongside English actress Lily James and Oscar contender Sebastian Stan.

Anderson constantly demanded that the program be canceled and had no say in its creation.

Anderson claims that she is prepared to return to the spotlight despite the misogyny and hardship she has experienced as a public figure. On her terms, this time.

Decades ago, it was difficult for me, but today I can see it as a teaching moment. It was also a different era. I found it fascinating to see things from my children’s perspective.

“Talking to my adult children about having a mom who was, you know, objectified in some way and how that felt [for them] and how that shaped them and their experience growing up, being teased in school.”

Both of her boys, Dylan and Brandon, are currently in their late 20s.

Anderson compares the movie to her role as Shelly in The Last Showgirl, stating that it reflects the reality, expectations, and sacrifices associated with being a mother and a woman.

“I didn’t consider the impact on my children while I was playing Playboy and in Baywatch. I considered simply keeping the lights on, living this thrilling life, and surviving it on my own.

However, it impacts everyone in your immediate vicinity, including your parents, friends, and children, so to view it from that perspective [in The Last Showgirl] and feel sympathy for Shelly’s experience with that… I could draw on some experience.
