I’m blessed to be the daddy of an exquisite younger girl who simply started college after graduating from St. Mary’s Academy, an all-girls Catholic college in Portland, Ore. I’ve at all times been surrounded by sturdy and devoted girls—my mom, my two elder sisters, my many nieces, and naturally my spouse. Along with rearing youngsters, they’ve adopted many vocations, some as docs, engineers, attorneys, traders and the like. However reflecting on the state of my daughter’s highschool, I’m involved that women right this moment are being supplied radically restricted concepts of tips on how to dwell significant lives.
We’re Episcopalian and had been grateful to have our daughter educated in a religion group that emphasised God’s presence everywhere and striving for the nice in each endeavor. Having a Catholic women college in ultraliberal Portland is a problem. Many college students come from radical left-wing households with avowedly anti-Catholic views who pressured the college to compromise on the best of a nonpolitical schooling.
