Sadanand Dhume writes a biweekly column on India and South Asia for WSJ.com. He focuses on the area’s politics, economics and international coverage.
Mr. Dhume can be a resident fellow on the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, D.C. Beforehand he labored because the New Delhi bureau chief of the Far Japanese Financial Overview (FEER), and as Indonesia correspondent for FEER and The Wall Road Journal Asia.
Mr. Dhume is the creator of “My Good friend the Fanatic: Travels with a Radical Islamist,” (Skyhorse Publishing, 2009), which charts the rise of the unconventional Islamist motion in Indonesia. His subsequent guide will have a look at India’s transformation for the reason that election of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014.
Mr. Dhume holds a bachelor’s diploma in sociology from the College of Delhi, a grasp’s diploma in worldwide relations from Princeton College and a grasp’s diploma in journalism from Columbia College. He lives in Washington, D.C. along with his spouse, and travels ceaselessly to India.
